Historia.

En 1969 Adolfo Fernández vio claro que Castilla la Mancha se iba a convertir en el viñedo de Europa. Debido a esta astuta visión de futuro, amplió su negocio y fundó la actual Alcoholes y Vinos, S.A. (Alvisa) siendo el primero de la zona en crear una destilación a nivel industrial. Su objetivo era poder generar grandes volúmenes de alcohol y vinos, por ello hizo construir la actual torre de destilación continua. Que es uno de los iconos de la destilería. Continuó trabajando duro para hacer crecer la calidad y cantidad de clientes, convirtiéndose en un conocido productor a nivel mundial.
Tal es así que, en 1984, fue adquirido por el mundialmente famoso grupo japonés Suntory. Los tradicionales métodos de destilación se combinaron con innovadoras tecnologías para conseguir el mejor producto final. Nuestros emblemáticos alambiques franceses Charentais destilan suaves y complejos brandis como Alvisa XO.

Destilación.

Alambiques franceses, alquitaras españolas y 15.000 barricas de roble francés se fueron incluyendo en la destilería para dar respuesta a la elevada demanda tanto en calidad como en cantidad. Nuestro brandis nacen del delicado proceso de doble destilación con nuestros alambiques franceses. Se destilan dos veces para mejorar la calidad del producto resultante, al eliminar una parte, las colas, utilizando sólo la mejor parte (corazón), la cual se enveceje tranquilamente en nuestras barricas de roble francés limousin.
