Tradición y valores.
Henri Louis Pernod fundó la primera destilería francesa de absenta en Pontarlier en el año 1805. Desde ese momento la historia de la marca se extiende durante más de dos siglos. Desde los tiempos de la primera destilería Maison Pernod Fils, la absenta fue el estandarte. Cuando se prohibió la venta y consumo de ésta en Francia, la empresa tuvo que cerrar por un tiempo. En 1926 Pernod volvió a la vida con un licor anisado de 40ºC que sustituyó a la absenta y que se sigue produciendo en la actualidad en el edificio Caves Byrrh en las inmediaciones de Perpiñán. Historia.
La historia de Pernod comienza en 1805 con la fundación de la Maison Pernod Fils en Pontarile, en la frontera franco-suiza, por Henri-Louis Pernod.
