Historia de la Bodega.
En 1995 Eugenio González, uno de los propietarios de Bodegas Margón, comienza en Pajares de Los Oteros sus primeras experiencias en viticultura. En una de estas bodegas-cueva, estudia y experimenta junto con Raúl Pérez, cuáles serán las mejores condiciones y técnicas para potenciar las virtudes de la Prieto Picudo. Raúl es el director de una singular orquesta. Con un estilo personal de hacer vinos Raúl Pérez consigue, sin apenas influir en el proceso natural de la uva, unos vinos con carácter propio y de sello inconfundible. Un proceso en el que las personas adquieren una importancia notable y ese sentimiento se traslada de manera sobresaliente a unos vinos con alma.La edad de las cepas, el cuidado del viñedo, el respeto a lo natural y una elaboración que permita reflejar todo este conjunto en el vino, serán la clave. Estos experimentos dan lugar a vinos que todavía hoy conservan su frescura y aroma. Tras 10 años de elaboraciones diferentes y experimentales, en 2006 Eugenio González se asocia con el empresario Alfredo Martínez Cuervo para comenzar a construir Bodegas Margón. Indudablemente este proyecto se llevaría a cabo siempre y cuando Raúl Pérez fuera el director técnico. Y desde el inicio y hasta la actualidad él es el responsable de todos los vinos de la bodega. Entre 2006 y 2007, Margón compra todas las fincas rústicas de viñas en Pajares de los Oteros y sus alrededores: un total de 75 parcelas que suman 19 Ha. La mayoría con más de 100 años. Margón se convierte en la única bodega que elabora exclusivamente con viñedo viejo de entre 90 y más de 120 años.
El viñedo.
Entre 2006 y 2007, Margón compra todas las fincas rústicas de viñas en Pajares de los Oteros y sus alrededores: un total de 75 parcelas que suman 19 Ha. La mayoría con más de 100 años. Margón se convierte en la única bodega que elabora exclusivamente con viñedo viejo de entre 90 y más de 120 años. Entre estas 75 parcelas se encuentran La Finca Valdemuzarra, Finca el Santo y Finca La Milana que dan lugar a vinos únicos con su mismo nombre. El resto de Finas son el origen de Pricum Prieto Picudo y Pricum Primeur. La finca de Valdemuzarra, en Pajares de los Oteros, da lugar a Pricum Valdemuz. Este pago data de finales del siglo XIX y perteneció durante siglos a la misma familia. Está considerado el viñedo más viejo de Prieto Picudo que existe en la Denominación de Origen. Suelos arcillosos con cantos rodados en la superficie y con un escaso rendimiento de entre 800-900 kg/Ha.
