La viticultura en Puglia es historia y al mismo tiempo innovación. El cultivo de la vid comenzó hace miles de años, en la época de "Magna Grecia", de lo que dan fe los orígenes griegos de muchos nombres de variedades de uva de Puglia. La tradición continúa a través de la presencia de variedades nativas como Negroamaro, Aglianico y Primitivo, ambas expresiones verdaderas de un territorio vital fuerte y extraordinario.
