Historia.
Casa Ravella es una bodega familiar relacionada con el mundo del vino desde 1567. Poseemos en la
actualidad 200 Has. de viña en la región del Alt Penedès (Barcelona). Nuestra bodega está situada en el centro de la finca familiar Casa Ravella, junto al pueblo de Ordal y las viñas se encuentran en un pequeño valle entre 325 y 410 metros sobre el nivel del mar, siendo de las más altas de la zona.
Agricultura ecológica.
Una apuesta importante para tratar de integrar nuestras viñas al medioambiente ha sido adaptar las plantaciones a la agricultura ecológica, contando con un registro en el Consejo Catalán de Producción Agraria Ecológica. Lograr resultados de desarrollo sin amenazar las fuentes de nuestros recursos naturales y sin comprometer las de futuras generaciones, es nuestra máxima implicación en materia de viticultura. Desde hace años tratamos nuestras viñas de manera 100% ecológica. A través de una agricultura de conservación intentamos mejorar las propiedades biológicas del suelo, con un laboreo comprometido con el medio y equilibrando producciones para respetar nuestras plantas. Viñas con cubierta vegetal espontánea permiten biodiversidad y fertilidad en nuestros suelos, alargándoles la vida. Mediante un control del momento óptimo de maduración y tras un riguroso proceso de selección de la uva en viña, procedemos a una recolección manual y a su posterior transporte en cajas a la bodega.

El terruño y la elaboración.
Nuestro terruño, propio de la subzona “Muntanyes d'Ordal” se caracteriza por suelos francoarcillosos, permeables, que reposan sobre una base calcárea y de bajo contenido en materia orgánica. Acogidos a la D.O. Penedès (vinos tranquilos) y a la D.O Cava (vinos espumosos), contamos con viñas en diferentes municipios de la región del Alt Penedès, situada a 25 Km de Barcelona. Para la elaboración de nuestros vinos utilizamos únicamente mosto flor, que fermentando a temperatura controlada consigue mantener todas sus características organolépticas. Microoxigenaciones, maceraciones y posteriores crianzas redondean nuestros vinos.
