Asociacionismo.

Albert y Joan Milá decidieron, a principios de los años 80, crear su propia bodega en la misma masía que les vio crecer y amar el mundo de la viticultura. Situados en la parte más oriental de la comarca del Penedès, al pie de los macizos de Ordal y del Garraf, bajo la influencia del mar y arropados por el norte por el bello macizo de Montserrat, Mas Comtal goza de óptimas condiciones para el desarrollo de la viña: 40 ha. de viñedos plantados con la variedad autóctona xarel·lo, la chardonnay, originaria de la Borgoña, y las tres tintas de Burdeos: merlot, cabernet sauvignon y cabernet franc, las variedades que, hasta el momento, les han permitido elaborar vinos de alta expresión con una clara manifestación del entorno en el que se elaboran. Arte y vino se unen, además, en la gama de vinos Petrea, vinos elaborados con las mejores uvas y únicamente en las mejores añadas. Las etiquetas de los vinos Petrea son una reproducción de obras de artistas expresamente creadas para la ocasión: David Ribes, Josep Maria Casas y Marisa Carrió son algunos de los pintores escogidos. Mas Comtal es miembro de Qalidès (Calidad y Penedés), una asociación que agrupa distintas bodegas del Penedés: Albet i Noya, Augustus, Can Feixes, Can Ràfols dels Caus, Castellroig, Celler Pardas, Finques Torres, Gramona, Jané Ventura, Jean Leon, Mas Candí, Mas Comtal, Parés Baltà, i Viladellops, nacida en el año 2004 con el objetivo de defender una imagen de bodega respetuosa con el entorno y su identidad paisajística, y poder así posicionar sus vinos de finca a los más altos niveles.
