Historia.

Los orígenes de la familia Clouet se pierden en la noche de los tiempos y, si bien no es posible determinar exactamente cuándo nació, si sabemos algo de sus ancestros. Durante el reinado de Luis XV en la famosa Corte de de Versailles, y por cientos de años, los Clouet fueron los impresores oficiales del rey, algo de lo que sus descendientes continúan estando orgullosos. Los descendientes de André Clouet aún habitan en la finca original del s. XVII y trabajan la colección de viñedos que le tomaron más de doscientos años en crear a la familia. Durante todo este tiempo, la familia Clouet se ha asegurado de que la propiedad y sus viñas continuará perteneciendo a la familia y, si bien realizaron las modernizaciones necesarias al edificio, procuran mantener la personalidad y el carácter de la finca, los viñedos y los champagnes. Para mantener viva la tradición y la historia de la familia, las etiquetas de los champagnes André Clouet tienen un diseño que simula atractivas etiquetas antiguas, dignas de los descendientes del impresor real.

Viñedo.

El viñedo de la Casa Clouet se compone de 8 hectáreas de viñas que crecen en una pendiente moderada en las regiones de Grand Crus Bouzy y Ambonnay. Las uvas pinot noir de estos cultivos se destacan por su calidad, incluso dentro de la región de Bouzy, famosa por este tipo de uvas.

Productos.

Los champagnes de la Casa son la perfecta y concentrada expresión de las uvas pinot noir que se cultivan en el viñedo de la familia.
Grande Réserve Brut: DOP Champagne. 100% Grand Cru pinot noir de Bouzy. Embotellado en 2016 con cápsula permeable. Envejecimiento de 48 meses sobre sus lías. Nariz de notas frutales y tostadas con un toque ahumado. Liviano y de final ligeramente dulce.
Brut Nature Silver: DOP Champagne. 100% Grand Cru pinot noir de Bouzy fermentadas en barricas de roble neutras. Añejado sobre sus lías por 48 meses. Nariz tostada con frutas desecadas y una deliciosa expresión de pinot noir añejada.
Brut Rosé: inspirado en la época en la que André Clouet encantaba a las damas de la mesa de María Antonieta agregando gotas de vino tinto de Champagne al vino blanco para volverlo rosado. Fragante y redondo con sabores a pinot noir madura. Aromas a frutilla, frambuesas y almendras.
Un Jour de 1911: 100% Grand Cru pinot noir de Bouzy. Aromas a pétalos de rosas y jazmines. En la boca de destacan la pureza de la fruta y una extraordinaria elegancia.
