Castellroig Sabaté i Coca es el resultado de unir tradición y conocimientos tecnológicos. Padre e hijo, Marcelino Sabaté i Marcel Sabaté i Coca, aportan todo el esfuerzo y la pasión con el objetivo de extraer lo mejor de la tierra:
Marcelino Sabaté: Impulsor de la bodega en la finca Sabaté i Coca y creador del museo vitivinícola Sabaté i Coca, un lugar para perderse, con auténticas reliquias agrícolas para entender mucho mejor el presente y acoger una filosofía vitivinícola mucho más respetuosa.
Marcel Sabaté i Coca: Implantador de todos los conocimientos adquiridos de los antepasados de una forma empírica. El terroir, la vendimia diferencial, el respeto por la tierra y la biodiversidad aplicada de forma natural tienen ahora una explicación técnica que toman forma a la hora de enfrentarse a la viña. Un gran salto cualitativo para incrementar la personalidad y el carácter de los vinos Castellroig.
La familia y el terruño.
Castellroig Sabaté i Coca es una empresa familiar. Sabaté i Coca, una familia que trabaja la viña en el valle del Bitlles desde el 1885 que a lo largo de los años ha sabido mantener su pasión por la tierra y el vino a través de cuatro generaciones, han conseguido transmitir la personalidad propia de unos vinos únicos nacidos, elaborados y criados en esta zona abanicada por la Sierra de la Lacuna, bañada por el rio Bitlles y marinada por la Mediterránea. La Finca Sabaté i Coca es un mosaico de terruños al Valle del Rio Bitlles , existen 18 suelos diferentes que conforman los diferentes estratos de cada una de las 66 parcelas que microvinificadas por separado, aportan su particular esencia y singularidad a cada uno de los productos de Sabaté y Coca. Elaboran vinos y cavas de calidad desde principios del siglo XX. A lo largo de los años han mantenido su pasión por la tierra y el vino, y a través de 4 generaciones han transmitido la personalidad propia de unos vinos únicos. La familia Sabaté y la familia Coca, se unen en las personas de Montserrat Coca y Marcelino Sabaté cuando se casan. A partir de entonces la familia Sabaté i Coca inicia un proyecto de elaboración de vinos y cavas de calidad para crear la marca Castellroig en 1985. Un nombre que define la Finca Sabaté i Coca.
