La destilería propiedad de la familia Berta en Casalotto di Mombaruzzo abrió en la vendimia de 2002, una cosecha histórica para esta familia Y para el desarrollo económico del sector del vino en Asti. Otras fechas importantes para la empresa son:
- 1930. Apertura de una farmacia Berta en Milán.

La producción artesanal de licor era común por sus beneficios terapéuticos.
