Motor del vino en la Rioja.

Erigida en 1973 en Logroño, Bodegas Olarra ejemplifica el estilo más tradicional de Rioja. Es una gran bodega del panorama vinícola nacional que siempre resulta un valor seguro y de completa fiabilidad. Esta bodega, que actúa como uno de los motores del vino riojano, destaca por el enorme salto cualitativo que ha dado en los últimos años, fusionando las técnicas vinícolas más modernas con los métodos de elaboración y crianza tradicionales en Rioja y creando vinos concebidos según estrictos parámetros de calidad. Así, Bodegas Olarra cultiva una materia prima de gran calidad, procedente tanto de viñedo propio como a través de acuerdos con los mejores viticultores de Rioja: cerca de 1.300 ha de viñedo; y posee una larga experiencia trabajando con barricas de roble para que los vinos alcancen su máxima expresión. Además, Olarra se caracteriza por la belleza y complejidad de sus instalaciones, conocidas como la catedral de Rioja, singulares por su planta en forma de “Y” y por contar con 111 cúpulas hexagonales. Desde hace unos años, Olarra es una de las firmas mejor valoradas de la D.O.Ca. Rioja, y sus vinos algunos de los más premiados, como Añares Reserva y Cerro Añón Crianza. Ha sido elegida Mejor Bodega de España en el prestigioso International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) celebrado en Londres en 2013 y en la Berliner Wein Trophy de 2015.

En Olarra se apuesta por la teoría de que el perfecto cuidado de la uva es el que hace un vino grande, por lo que se vigila al máximo cada detalle. Para la elaboración de sus vinos, Bodegas Olarra sólo utiliza aquellos frutos que cumplen una serie de estrictas condiciones. Actualmente, Olarra cuenta en el mercado con varias marcas y detrás de cada una de ellas se encuentra un vino con una identidad propia. Sus vinos estrella son los tintos con crianza en roble. En definitiva, una amplia gama de vinos cuya calidad ha sido reconocida en los certámenes más importantes del mundo.
