Gran agrupación.

Grandes Vinos nace en 1997 tras la unión de más de 700 viticultores del Campo de Cariñena, la única tierra del mundo que le da nombre a una variedad de uva, la cariñena. La calidad y diversidad de los viñedos, ubicados en los 14 municipios de la Comarca es su factor diferencial y desde donde se elaboran las diferentes marcas comerciales para distintos segmentos de mercado. Esta firma continúa elaborando en 5 cooperativas y cuenta con un equipo de 5 enólogos. David Castillo y Pilar Larumbe son los dos principales. Grandes Vinos posee un inmenso patrimonio vitícola: 1.400 hectáreas de viñas. Toda la tradición histórica de los buenos vinos, unida al empuje decidido, la genialidad y el buen hacer de nuestras gentes, han determinado la existencia de la mayor BODEGA de la D.O. Cariñena y de toda la comunidad autónoma aragonesa. Grandes Vinos y Viñedos nace como empresa para canalizar la ventas de 5 cooperativas de la Denominación de Origen Cariñena.

Los componentes.

Estás cooperativas son: Cooperativa San José de Aguarón, fundada en 1955, Cooperativa San Bernabé de Cosuenda (1955), Cooperativa San Roque de Alfamén (1950), SAT de Cariñena (1967), a las que posteriormente se une la Cooperativa Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Villanueva de Huerva (1950). Junto a las cooperativas forman el accionariado de la sociedad el Gobierno de Aragón, a través del Instituto Aragonés de Fomento, y las tres entidades financieras más sólidas de aragón. Grandes Vinos y Viñedos es una feliz realidad que, a través de una potente y decidida apuesta por la calidad, pretende aunar la tradición de la elaboración de vinos junto a la modernidad del desarrollo de investigaciones, nuevos sistemas de trabajo, mejor control de todos los procesos desde la cepa. Las nuevas instalaciones de la bodega han supuesto una fuerte inversión en infraestructuras que facilitan esta labor. Aproximadamente 10 millones de euros invertidos en una moderna instalación de 60.000 m2, inaugurada el 26 de Junio de 2002. Esta magnífica bodega cuenta con la tecnología y los recursos humanos necesarios para responder ante un mercado competitivo y de calidad. Cuentan con más de 700 socios en las seis poblaciones en las que se sitúan las 5.000 hectáreas de viñedo: Aguarón, Alfamén, Cariñena, Cosuenda, Mezalocha y Villanueva de Huerva, siendo toda la producción de elaboración propia y comercializada por Grandes Vinos y Viñedos.
