FILOSOFÍA
Agricola San Felice es reconocida como una empresa innovadora, tanto por su capacidad de anticipar tendencias como por su intensa investigación y experimentación. Al mismo tiempo, su estilo de producción tiene como objetivo mejorar la tipicidad y singularidad de su territorio, manteniendo un fuerte vínculo con la tradición. La compañía que ya vivió el lanzamiento de Vigorello a finales de la década de 1960, un vino de nueva concepción en ese momento, dió origen a los famosos vinos Supertuscan. Posteriormente, en los años 70, la primera producción de Poggio Rosso, que para aquellos momentos era un raro ejemplo de Chianti Classico 'cru'. Es al comienzo de la actividad de investigación sobre viñedos autóctonos, hacia fines de los 80, cuando la filosofía de producción de San Felice encuentra su máxima expresión. En contraste con la tendencia de muchos productores de la época, que se volcaron más hacia las variedades internacionales, San Felice, en su viñedo experimental, el Vitiarium, identificó algunas uvas autóctonas olvidadas para, posteriormente, ser destinadas a una futura mezcla con Sangiovese. Han sido años de trabajo, impulsados por una sincera vocación de mejora, conscientes de que el descubrimiento más importante siempre está en la tradición.
