Pequeñas producciones.
Jaume Bertran es el artífice y líder de una pequeña bodega del Alt Penedés. La bodega se encuentra en una de las partes más septentrionales de la comarca, Sant Joan de Mediona, a las faldas de las montañas del Montserrat; situadas a una altitud entre los 400 y 700 metros sobre el nivel del mar, las fincas de Tayaimgut se benefician de un clima más continental, con más pluviometría que otras de la misma D.O.Penedés, así como con más contrastes de temperatura entre día y noche. Con tan sólo 2 hectáreas de viñedo, de baja producción, la parcela Esquarterades (1 ha.), de sauvignon blanc, y L'Hort de les canyes (1 ha.), con cepas de merlot y cabernet sauvignon, Tayaimgut produce unas 4.000 botellas de vino blanco y unas 5.000 de tinto. Algunas tareas solo se pueden realizar a mano, esto no se puede comparar con la mano de obra basada en máquinas.El trabajo manual es un trabajo racional. Porque algunas labores solo se pueden hacer correctamente mientras se piensa.Creemos en el trabajo a escala humana. Y en la bodega, extraiga y conserve todo lo bueno que hemos cosechado de la vid.
Vinos.
Tayaimgut elabora cuatro vinos:
- Tayaimgut Sauvignon Blanc: Es una auténtica bestia parda de la bodega, el referente de los Sauvignon Blanc españoles, con una raza similar a los vinos que con esta uva elabora Dagueneau en Sancerre
- Tayaimgut Rosat de Llágrima es un vino elaborado con Merlot.
- Tayaimgut Negre Jove, fruto de un coupage de Merlot y Garnacha sin crianza.
- Tayaimgut Negre, elaborado con Merlot y Cabernet Sauvignon estructurado y con crianza en barrica.
