Español [ ES ]Barbadillo es una empresa familiar, cien por cien española, que ha sabido aunar tradición y modernidad, mirar al futuro sin renunciar a sus orígenes y convertir las esencias del sur en su inequívoca seña de identidad. Actualmente es propietaria de 500 hectáreas de viñedos repartidos en dos fincas "Gibalbín" y "Santa Lucía", situadas en la zona del "Jerez Superior" La historia de Barbadillo se remonta a 1821, año en el que empezó a elaborar manzanilla. Desde entonces, no ha dejado de evolucionar buscando siempre vinos que sorprendan y dejen huella. Con 500 hectáreas de viñedo propio, 17 bodegas de crianza en Sanlúcar de Barrameda y una planta de vinificación de uvas blancas y tintas, Bodegas Barbadillo es una de las mayores bodegas del Marco de Jerez. Barbadillo es un apellido que se remonta a 1821, año en el que los emprendedores burgaleses Benigno Barbadillo y Manuel López Barbadillo se instalan en Sanlúcar de Barrameda. La primera manzanilla que se lanza al mercado se llamaba Divina Pastora, justo seis años después, en 1826. No sería hasta 1954 que se constituye la empresa. Adscritos a las denominaciones Jerez-Xèrés-Sherry, Manzanilla - Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Vinagre de Jerez, Brandy de Jerez, cuentan con un viñedo propio de 500 hectáreas de extensión y un parque de botas de 31.800 botas.
En el viñedo se cultiva las variedades blancas Palomino, Sauvignon blanc y Chardonnay y en cuanto a las tintas, las variedades Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah y Tintilla de Rota. Todas ellas cultivadas sobre suelos de Albariza, con vendimias manuales y mecanizadas. De la bondad de su clima y la generosidad de su tierra, nace un vino único, que ha hecho universal su nombre : La Manzanilla. Hoy por hoy Barbadillo es el mayor criador de manzanillas de todo el Marco de Jerez, con marcas tan reconocidas y prestigiosas como Solear y Muyfina. Pero Bodegas Barbadillo está viviendo ahora, además, momentos de cambio, de progreso, de evolución emprendiendo otros proyectos capaces de ampliar su campo de trabajo, como es el caso de la adquisición de Bodegas o Viñedos Vega Real en la D.O. Ribera del Duero entre otros.
