El nombre de Lvna está inspirado en al ciudad de Luni, un antiguo puerto etrusco y griego, consagrado a la diosa Selene por los griegos, Lvna para los romanos. El primer asentamiento de Luna fue fundado por los romanos en 177 antes de Cristo. La producción de vino de Lvnae Bosoni se basa en la historia antigua de esta tierra y sus pueblos, los etruscos, griegos y romanos, de quines ha heredado una gran tradición vitivinícola.
