Español [ ES ]Lleva más de 20 años de experiencia en la elaboración y comercialización de vinos en Costers del Segre, Tomàs Cusiné inicia en 2003 su nuevo proyecto vitivinícola. Gran conocedor de la zona, pone en funcionamiento su empresa con una visión a largo plazo, con el objetivo de consolidarse como bodega de prestigio. Se instala en el pueblo de El Vilosell, en la comarca de Les Garrigues (Lleida), alquila la antigua cooperativa y la remodela, recuperando silos subterráneos e incorporando toda la infraestructura necesaria para obtener vinos elegantes y de gran calidad. En el 2006 inicia la ampliación de la bodega con 500 m2 destinados al almacenamiento y al embotellado. La bodega dispone de depósitos de cemento y depósitos de acero inoxidable con volúmenes que oscilan entre los 1.000 a los 10.000 L. Tomàs Cusiné busca índices de maduración en los que la carga fenólica y la acidez estén equilibradas. Refrigera la uva antes de pasarla por la mesa de selección y posteriormente realiza una premaceración en frío, seguida de una fermentación lenta a baja temperatura, para preservar la riqueza en fruta y el frescor de la cosecha. Para la fermentación maloláctica y para la crianza de los vinos utiliza barricas de roble francés de grano fino de 225 L de diferentes toneleros como François Frères, Nadalie, Seguin Moreau, Demptos, Sylvain.
La bodega que lleva su nombre es el primer proyecto independiente que puso en marcha, una vez adquirida cierta experiencia en las bodegas, entonces familiares, Castell del Remei y Cérvoles. Fue en 2003 cuando emprendió esta aventura estableciéndome en la comarca de Les Garrigues. Su objetivo era elaborar vinos con carácter que reflejaran la expresión del territorio, implementando mi propia filosofía vinícola y sacando partido al conocimiento acumulado sobre la D.O. Costers del Segre. Unos años más tarde, se dedicó a consolidar su estilo basado en priorizar el trabajo en la viña y en la enología de precisión, que se nutren del esfuerzo y de la pasión. Si se me permite, quiero seguir manteniendo e incrementando el prestigio de mis vinos.
El empresario vitivinicultor Tomàs Cusiné Barber (1962) es propietario de las bodegas Tomàs Cusiné, Castell del Remei, Cérvoles Celler y Cara Nord. En 1985 se inició como elaborador en la bodega entonces familiar Castell del Remei, empresa con la que, buscando terruño y viñedos de montaña, en 1997 adquiere Cérvoles Celler. En la misma zona, en 2003 decide emprender su proyecto más personal, que se convierte en la bodega de autor que lleva su nombre, en el pueblo de El Vilosell. Experto en la D.O. Costers del Segre, traspasa los límites de la demarcación creando Cara Nord Celler (D.O. Conca de Barberà) y elaborando el vino Mineral (D.O. Montsant). Actualmente, elabora en las denominaciones de origen Costers del Segre, Conca de Barberà, Montsant. Su tarea de enólogo delata su maestría en el ensamblaje de vino, por lo que se le reconoce como uno de los mayores expertos en la materia. Tiene una experiencia de más de 30 vendimias. Tomàs Cusiné lidera uno de los grupos bodegueros más genuinos del país, con una producción total de 1.200.00 botellas, aproximadamente, el 50 por ciento de las cuales se exporta a más de 40 países de los cinco continentes. Sus vinos tienen el reconocimiento de prescriptores, sumilleres, críticos, guías enológicas y publicaciones especializadas.
