Orto Vins es un proyecto que reúne a 4 viticultores de la comarca: Jordi Beltran, Josep M. Beltran, Josep M. Jové, y encabezado por una gran estrella del panorama vinícola nacional, Joan Asens, quien, hasta el momento en que nace esta ilusión, Orto Vins, llevaba a cargo la viticultura y vinificación de la bodega Álvaro Palacios en el Priorat, junto con el mismísimo Álvaro, para la elaboración de Les Terrases, Finca Dofí y L'Ermita. Los 4 sopranos de Orto Vins exclaman: "Orto es aquel momento tan particular en el que el sol, o cualquier otro astro, atraviesa el plano del horizonte y pasa a ser visible en nuestro hemisferio. Simboliza, por tanto, el nacimiento de un nuevo día. Orto es también un prefijo de origen griego: 'recto', 'correcto' e incluso 'bonito'.

Variedades de vinos.

Sin duda alguna, destaca en esta bodega por la gran experiencia de Joan Asens, responsable de viticultura y vinificación, y a quien encontramos hoy también asesorando bodegas tan destacables como el nuevo proyecto de Alfredo Arribas en esta misma denominación. Pero cuentan con mucho más: Unos viñedos propios con una personalidad muy particular, cuidadas con devoción durante años por las distintas generaciones, y que ahora vinifican y presentan de un modo especial con sus cuatro vinos o singularidades de Orto. Al lado de estos cuatro monovarietales de cariñena, ull de llebre, garnacha peluda y picapoll negre, elaboran también dos vinos básicos: un tinto y un blanco, y dos vinos dulces, deliciosamente frescos.
