Español [ ES ]Mont-Ferrant está ubicada en la localidad de Blanes (Girona), y esta prestigiosa firma distribuye sus productos por todo el territorio español, si bien su presencia es mucho más significativa en las áreas de influencia de Barcelona y Girona. Con una plantilla global de 22 personas -dividida entre su planta de producción y sus oficinas en la Ciudad Condal-, Mont-Ferrant basa su filosofía de trabajo en ofrecer a sus clientes una diversificada oferta de cava, siempre elaborada con las variedades Xarel.lo, Macabeo, Parellada y Chardonnay y según el método tradicional o champenois, el único referente válido para poseer la denominación oficial de Cava. Para ello, la empresa pone su empeño en lograr la fidelización de sus clientes mediante la homogeneización de su calidad y la creación de una imagen identificativa de la marca, tanto en sabores como en buquet y en establecer los rasgos definitorios de una marca especial.
A la edad de 45 años, Agustí Vilaret (natural de Blanes) fundó las cavas Mont-Ferrant. Lo hizo mediante la compra de una masía situada junto al Mont Sant Joan, en Mas Ferran. La unión de ambos lugares dio nombre a la empresa. En 1872 presentó diversas clases de vinos al Concurso Exposición de Barcelona, donde mostró los planos de la bodega que había hecho construir en las cavas. Esa es la prueba documental que demuestra que Mont-Ferrant es el elaborador de cava más antiguo de los que aún subsisten. Hoy, las cavas se organizan en tres gamas: la Alta, la Antigua y la Fonda (profunda). La Cava Alta es la más grande y ocupa dos pisos excavados a un lado de la planta del edificio. Fue construida a principios de los años ochenta y en ella se reúnen tres variedades: Grapa (Brut y Semiseco) y l'Americano. La Cava Antigua es la que construyó Vilaret al adquirir la masía. Data de 1865 y fue pensada para que la fermentación del vino se produjera a una temperatura de entre 14 y 16¼. En ella se alojan el Blanes Nature, el Brut Nature y el Brut Rosé. La Cava Fonda está excavada cuatro pisos por debajo de la planta y data de los años 30. Esta cava acoge tres cavas que homenajean a los tres pioneros de la empresa: Agustí Vilaret, Henry Demissy y Rodolphe Bourlon.
